Never in my life have I seen a photo shoot so powerful. Melinda captured perfectly the battle that wages in Jessie’s mother’s heart these days. When I told her the other day how much I enjoyed watching her community love her well, Jessie texted back, “They are a bottomless treasure.” You can catch a glimpse of that in this shoot, too. This is so much more precious to me than a good birth story. This is real, messy life. Way to go, warrior mama.
